The wavy edge conveyor belt, also known as the steep angle edge conveyor belt or skirted belt, is one of the specialized conveyor belt products produced by Qingdao Kaيتong Co., Ltd. It consists of three parts: the base belt, the edge, and the cross plate.
The edge guard prevents material from slipping and spilling. To facilitate passage around the roller, the edge is designed in a wavy pattern; the function of the corrugated edge belt's cross plate is to support the material, and for achieving steep angle conveyance, T-type and TC-type designs are utilized.
The wave edge conveyor belt's side edges and cross plates are connected to the base belt using a secondary vulcanization method, with side edge heights ranging from 60 to 500mm.
The base tape is composed of four parts: upper covering胶, lower covering胶, core, and transverse rigid layer. The thickness of the upper covering胶 is generally 3-6mm; the thickness of the lower covering胶 is typically 1.5-4.5mm. The core material withstands tension and can be cotton duck (CC), nylon duck (NN), polyester duck (EP), or steel rope core (ST). To enhance the transverse rigidity of the base tape, a special reinforcement layer is added above the core, known as the transverse rigid layer. The width specifications of the base tape are the same as those of ordinary tape, in compliance with the GB7984-2001 standard.
