On October 23rd, the first section of the UHPC pavement for the G3 Tongling Yangtze River Bridge's main bridge highway deck, which was undertaken by the Bridge Research Institute and involved the Coni-Lite UHPC mixing system, was successfully cast. This marks the official launch of the UHPC pavement for the bridge's highway deck, with the Bridge Research Institute's Chief Engineer, Peng Xu-min, on-site to guide. This pavement is the world's first double-deck cable-stayed-cantilever collaboration bridge to use the UHPC composite deck pavement system, accumulating valuable experience for future similar construction and applications.

The G3 Tongling Yangtze River Bridge's main bridge highway deck features a total UHPC paving area of 48,000 square meters, with a 530,000-set shear stud welding volume and 1,200 tons of rebar mesh installation, showcasing a large scale of paving and high construction difficulty. The Bridge Research Institute's technical team, based on the characteristics of the steel deck's closely spaced thin-layer paving system, adopted an optimized UHPC mix ratio design, customized Koneko pre-mixed material batching system, professional mixing and paving equipment, and a specialized technical team for casting. This effectively addressed issues such as sudden increase in resistance after UHPC fluidization, ensuring the material's performance meets construction requirements. Additionally, the technical team's ultrasonic UHPC paving equipment and integrated finishing and film covering equipment ensured uniform and dense material filling, enhancing construction efficiency and maintenance effects.

The first section of the G3 Tongling Yangtze River Bridge's highway deck, paved with Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), has been successfully cast, marking a milestone for Konecranes' UHPC ultra-high-performance concrete mixing.
