Troubleshooting Method:

During the scheduled maintenance shutdown of circuit breakers, it is necessary to use a vacuum tester to qualitatively measure the vacuum degree of the vacuum bulb to ensure that the vacuum bulb maintains a certain vacuum level.

2. When the vacuum level drops, it is necessary to replace the vacuum bulb and conduct tests on its travel, timing, and bounce characteristics.

3. Ensure accurate calculation of the maximum breaking current value. During routine operations, record the normal breaking operations and short-circuit breaking of vacuum circuit breakers promptly.

Preventive Measures:

At that time, there were numerous types of vacuum circuit breakers from various manufacturers, leading to significant variability in product quality. Some vacuum circuit breakers lacked spare parts, posing considerable difficulties for maintenance and protection. Therefore, when selecting vacuum circuit breakers, it is advisable to choose mature products from manufacturers with a good reputation for quality.

2. Utilizing vacuum circuit breakers with integrated body and operating mechanism.

3. Operators should conduct thorough and strict inspections of vacuum circuit breakers on a regular basis. Pay attention to any discharge phenomena on the exterior of the vacuum bulb; particularly for glass-encased vacuum bulbs, visually inspect the color of the internal surface and the color of the arc when interrupting the current. If the internal surface color darkens or the arc color is dark red during current interruption, the vacuum degree of the bulb is generally considered to be substandard and should be replaced promptly.

4. During power outage maintenance, it is necessary to conduct tests on the circuit breaker's characteristics such as synchronization, bounce, stroke, overstroke, and circuit resistance to ensure the breaker is in good working condition.

A straightforward method to verify the qualification of an arc-extinguishing chamber on-site is to conduct a 42kV power frequency withstand test on the chamber.
