Operation Instructions for Mini Excavators

When the crawler mini excavator is in motion, the boom should be positioned in the direction of travel, with the bucket height from the ground not exceeding 1 meter. Additionally, the swing mechanism should be braked. The mini excavator's low consumption and flexibility compared to large excavators, including ease of transportation (can be transported by a standard agricultural vehicle), allow it to operate in confined spaces.

Operation of Compact Excavators

The compact excavators, such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, and Caterpillar, are typically operated with the right hand, featuring two handles and 11 basic movements. Each handle controls four directions—forward, backward, left, and right—by turning the handle. The specific basic operations are as follows: with the left handle, pulling to the left extends the middle arm, pulling to the right retracts the middle arm, pulling forward causes a right rotation, and pulling backward causes a left rotation. With the right handle, pulling forward lowers the large arm, pulling backward raises the large arm, pulling to the left closes the bucket, and pulling to the right opens the bucket.

When digging with the bucket, do not scoop too deeply each time, and avoid lifting the bucket too abruptly to prevent damage to the machinery or a tipping accident. When the bucket is descending, be mindful not to impact the tracks or the vehicle frame.

Operating a small excavator with its bucket to break rocks can cause significant damage to the machinery, and should be avoided whenever possible. When rock excavation is necessary, the machine's position should be adjusted according to the direction of the rock fissures to allow the bucket to easily penetrate and perform挖掘. Insert the bucket teeth into the rock fissures and use the挖掘 force of the bucket arm and bucket (be mindful of the bucket teeth slipping out). For rocks that have not been crushed, they should be broken first before using the bucket for excavation.

Now that you've gained an understanding of the "operation methods of compact excavators," it's important to note that compact excavators are versatile earthmoving machinery primarily used for excavation, loading, and agricultural water conservancy construction. They are also employed for land leveling, slope grading, crushing, demolition, trenching, and more. As a result, they are widely utilized in road and railway construction, bridge building, the construction of new socialist countryside, urban development, airport and port projects, and water conservancy works.
