Alloy flanges and loose joint flanges are commonly used for material change connections. Loose joint flanges are secured to pipe ends using flanges, steel rings, etc., allowing the flange to move on the pipe end. The steel rings or rolled edges serve as sealing surfaces, while the function of the flange is to clamp them together. It is evident that due to being blocked by the steel rings or rolled edges, loose joint flanges do not come into contact with the medium. Loose joint flanges are suitable for connecting steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals as well as stainless acid-resistant steel containers and corrosion-resistant pipelines.
