This novel radiant heating for annealing furnaces addresses the issues of low thermal efficiency and slow heating speed in existing heaters. The radiant heater features flanges and multiple porous hanging brick elements spaced along the axial direction of the radiant heater. Multiple strands of resistive wire are threaded through the porous hanging brick elements and then connected to lead-out wires passing through the flanges; the porous hanging brick elements are fixed on a mandrel that extends along the axial direction of the heater and is connected to the flanges. This radiant heater is a non-sheathed, exposed type, which is more energy-efficient compared to the sheathed radiant tubes. Its power per meter can reach up to 5kW. It has a high thermal radiation efficiency of over 90%. It is compact in structure, has a low failure rate, is easy to maintain, and has low maintenance costs.
