Chongqing School Building Seismic Assessment Report
2025-02-28
Certification Category Description
Preschools, primary and middle schools' teaching buildings are classified as Class B key safety defense buildings, in accordance with Order No. 148 of the People's Republic of China, "Regulations for Seismic Fortification of Building Engineering Construction." For existing Class A and B building engineering projects in the "Classification Standards for Seismic Fortification of Building Engineering Construction," those that have not implemented seismic fortification measures and are not included in the recent demolition and renovation plan should be entrusted to units with corresponding design qualifications to conduct seismic evaluations in accordance with the current seismic identification standards.
Regulatory Standards for Inspection and Authentication
"Civil Reliability Certification Standard (GB 50292-2015)"
"Standard for Seismic Evaluation of Buildings (GB50023-2009)"
"Standard for Structural Testing Technology of Buildings (GB/T50344-2004)"
"4. Seismic Design Code for Buildings (GB 50011-2010)"
5. "Code for Load Design of Building Structures" (GB 50009-2012)
"Code for Design of Foundations of Buildings (GB 50007-2011)"
7. Construction Quality Acceptance Standards
8. Structural Design Standards
9. Original structural design drawings and documents.
No Chinese content provided.
1. Basic Survey of Structural System (1) Structural layout and form; (2) Layout of ring beams, structural columns, tie rods, supports (or other lateral force resistance systems); (3) Structural support or bearing construction; components and their connection construction; (4) Detailed dimensions of the structure and other relevant geometric parameters.
2. Structure Usage Condition Survey (1) Structural Function (Load); (2) Internal and External Environmental Conditions of the Building; (3) Usage History (including Load History, Disaster History).
3. Foundation Investigations and Inspections: (1) Site classification and subsoil conditions, including soil layer distribution and underlying strata; (2) Foundation stability (for slopes); (3) Foundation deformation and its reaction in the superstructure; (4) On-site testing of foundation bearing capacity and indoor mechanical property tests; (5) Assessment of the foundation and pile working conditions; if permissible, excavation inspections for cracking, corrosion, or other damage conditions can also be conducted; (6) Other factors, such as the impact or influence of groundwater extraction, foundation flooding, water quality deterioration, and soil corrosion.
4. Material Performance Testing and Analysis: (1) Structural Component Materials; (2) Connection Materials; (3) Other Materials.
5. Structural Load-bearing Inspection (1) Geometric parameters of components (including connections); (2) Working conditions of components and their connections; (3) Working conditions of structural supports or seats; (4) Conditions of cracks and other damages in the building; (5) Overall stability of the structure; (6) Lateral displacement of the building, including tilt of the upper structure, rotation of the foundation, and local deformation; (7) Dynamic characteristics of the structure.
6. Survey of the safety status and operational functionality of the protective system.
7. Survey of pipeline systems susceptible to structural displacement and deformation.
8. Seismic Structure Measures Inspection. (1) Inspect and assess the existing multi-story brick-masonry structure's structural system, the overall integrity of connections, the strength of bricks, masonry units, and mortar in load-bearing walls, components prone to partial collapse and their connections, as well as the spacing and width of seismic cross-walls, to determine compliance with seismic regulations. (2) Inspect and assess the existing multi-story frame structure's structural system, the overall integrity of connections, the strength of concrete in load-bearing walls, components prone to partial collapse and their connections, as well as the spacing and width of seismic cross-walls, to determine compliance with seismic regulations.
9. Seismic bearing capacity calculation.
Based on the inspection, testing, and calculation results, the current seismic performance and structural safety of the building are assessed against the "Standard for Seismic Evaluation of Buildings" (GB50023-2009) and the "Standard for Reliability Evaluation of Civil Buildings" (GB 50292-1999). Recommendations for reasonable treatment are proposed for components that do not meet seismic requirements, safety for use, and those currently showing structural damage.
Certification Ratings and Explanations
Asu Level: Compliance with this standard's requirements for the Asu level does not affect overall load-bearing capacity. Measures may need to be taken for a few general components. (Assessment Unit)
BSU Level: Slightly below the standard's specifications for ASU level in terms of safety, it does not significantly affect overall bearing capacity. There may be a very few components that require measures to be taken. (Certification Unit)
Csu Level: The safety does not meet the requirements for the Asu Level as stipulated by this standard, significantly affecting the overall bearing capacity. Measures should be taken, and there may be a very few components that require immediate action. (Assessment Unit)
DSU Level: Severely fails to meet the standard requirements for ASU Level, severely affecting overall load-bearing capacity. Immediate action is required. (Assessment Unit)
Ass Level: Conforms to the specifications for the Ass level as per this standard; does not affect overall usability. Measures may be required for a few general components. (Certification Unit)
Bss Level: The usability is slightly below the standard requirements for Ass level, but it does not significantly affect the overall functionality. There may be a very few components that require measures to be taken. (Evaluation Unit)
Level CSS: The usability does not comply with the standards for Level A, significantly affecting the overall usability function. Measures should be taken. (Evaluation Unit)
