A rotary compensator is a new type of compensator for thermal expansion in heating pipelines. The construction of the rotary compensator mainly consists of components such as a complete sealed base, sealing cover, flanges, friction-reducing bearing, sealing material, and rotating cylinder. It requires two or more sets for installation on heating pipelines, forming a relative rotation to absorb the thermal displacement of the pipeline, thereby reducing the stress on the pipeline.
Advantages of the rotary compensator:
(1) Large compensation capacity; can be arranged according to natural terrain and pipeline strength; one compensation unit can compensate for 800 meters of pipeline.
(2) No blind flange force generated from medium pressure, the fixed bracket can be made very small, especially suitable for large diameter pipelines.
(3) Excellent sealing performance, requires no maintenance for long-term operation.
(4) Significant investment savings.
(5) Design calculation is convenient.
(6) The rotating compensator can be installed on steam buried pipes and hot water buried pipes, significantly saving investment and enhancing operational safety.
Swivel compensators are typically installed in sets of 150-500m on pipelines (the spacing can be determined based on the natural terrain), with more than a dozen installation methods, which can be determined by the pipeline's direction. After adopting this type of compensator, the spacing between fixed supports is increased. To avoid pipe section deflection, it is necessary to appropriately increase guide supports. To reduce friction resistance during pipe section operation, rolling seats should be installed on sliding supports.
