The intelligent waiting shelters feature a design style that combines technology and industry. Eighteen will be constructed near the waterfront new town and public rental housing. Once completed, passengers will be able to access station information, traffic flow, weather conditions, and public service advertisements through the display screens at the platforms. While waiting, they can also use the intelligent query system to check the arrival times, route stations, and traffic conditions of all bus lines, providing convenience for their journeys.
Deputy Director Zhang Yu informed us, "This intelligent waiting shelter can provide real-time bus stop announcements, big data sharing, 5G video detection, convenient service inquiries, and vending machines.
