How to Choose the Right Filter Fabric
The filtration performance of the slag, which directly reflects the efficiency of the press filter equipment. The slag surface is smooth and free of adhesion, allowing the filtrate to quickly seep out from the filter cloth, resulting in a short filtration period and high efficiency.
On the contrary, the residue is adhesive, which leads to longer filtration times and, consequently, a decrease in efficiency. Moreover, the stronger the adhesiveness, the lower the efficiency. In such cases, we opt for monofilament filter cloth or缎纹织滤布. B) Choose filter cloth based on the acidity or alkalinity of the filtrate, selecting the appropriate type of filter cloth for different levels of acidity or alkalinity. Polyester filter cloth is resistant to acids, while viscose filter cloth is resistant to alkalis. Polypropylene filter cloth possesses both acid and alkali resistance. C) The shape of the residue, whether the particles are uniform, and whether the shape is hard, all contribute to considering the abrasion resistance of the filter cloth. Uneven sizes and sharp edges should be chosen based on the degree. Filter cloths with good abrasion resistance are monofilament and filament filter cloths. D) The temperature of the filtrate also affects the filter cloth and efficiency of the pressure filter. Monofilament filter cloth is resistant to high temperatures.
