Through-aisle Racking: Drive-in Racking, Cantilever Racking, Aisle Racking Ideal for goods with high volume and limited variety, forklifts can directly enter the storage aisles to deposit items, ensuring high warehouse utilization. Through-aisle racking, also known as drive-in racking or aisleless racking, is a continuous, whole-building type of racking that is not divided by aisles. Pallets are stored on the support tracks in a depth-wise direction, one after another, making high-density storage possible. Goods are accessed from the same side of the racking, with a first-in-first-out system. Pallet jacks can easily drive into the middle of the racking for loading and unloading. Drive-in racking has a relatively low investment cost and is suitable for situations with large horizontal dimensions, fewer types, more quantities, and a predetermined access pattern, often used for storing large quantities of identical goods. Due to its high storage density and efficient use of floor space, it is commonly used in high-cost storage spaces like cold storage facilities.
