The community gate system is a specialized equipment for handling the entry and exit of vehicle traffic on roads, now widely used at highway toll gates, parking lots, residential communities, and corporate entrances to manage vehicle in and out. Electric gates can be independently operated by remote control to lift or lower the bar, and can also be activated through the parking system (i.e., an IC card system) for active management. Additionally, the boom gate typically has a ground-loop infrared input interface. Under normal circumstances, the vehicle detection signal is connected to the ground-loop infrared interface. The boom gate is opened when a vehicle approaches and a card is swiped, and it closes automatically when the vehicle passes. However, if the supplier's product lacks a ground-loop infrared interface, or if the interface is damaged, or if the new vehicle detector and the ground-loop infrared interface are not compatible, they connect the vehicle detector's two sets of signals to the boom gate's open and close ports. This ensures the boom gate closes automatically when the vehicle passes, and prevents the boom gate from opening unnecessarily when the vehicle is in place. The only drawback is that the boom gate may open if the vehicle is pressed against the ground-loop.
