The community gate system is a specialized equipment for managing vehicle entry and exit at roadways, designed to restrict motor vehicle traffic. It is now widely used at highway toll plazas, parking lots, residential communities, and corporate entrances for vehicle access control. Electric gates can be operated independently via remote control to raise or lower the barriers, or can be integrated with parking management systems (such as IC card swipe systems) for automatic access control. Depending on the application, the gates can be straight, 90-degree curved, 180-degree folding, or grille-style. When a vehicle passes through the ground induction loop, an inductive signal is transmitted to the vehicle detector. The vehicle detector then activates two relay signals: one for the entry into the ground induction loop and another for the departure, with each signal having both normally open and normally closed contacts. Additionally, the boom gate typically has a ground induction infrared input interface. Normally, the vehicle detection signal is connected to the ground induction infrared interface, with the boom gate activated by a card swipe when a vehicle arrives and automatically lowered when the vehicle passes. However, if the supplier's product lacks a ground induction infrared interface, or if the interface is damaged, or if the new vehicle detector and the ground induction infrared interface are not compatible, they may connect the two signals of the vehicle detector to the boom gate's opening and closing terminals. This still ensures the boom gate is lowered automatically when the vehicle passes and prevents it from lowering when the vehicle approaches the induction loop. The only drawback is that the boom gate may open if the vehicle is pressed against the ground induction loop.
