For professionals in the electromechanical and electrical engineering fields, selecting wire and cable products is a piece of cake. However, for many average users and newcomers to the industry, it's a necessary learning process. When purchasing copper-plastic composite tape wire and cable, one should choose according to their electrical load requirements, and also review the raw material composition and model specifications in the wire and cable's specifications. This helps minimize safety hazards and extends the product's lifespan.

When selecting copper-plastic composite tape wires, consumers should pay attention to the following: the wire should appear smooth and flat, with no damage to the insulation or sheath layers, clear markings, and no greasy feeling when touched. From the cross-section of the wire, the thickness of the insulation or sheath should be uniform around the entire circumference of the copper-plastic composite tape wire, without being off-center, and the insulation or sheath should have a certain thickness.

Next, it's crucial to ensure that the conductor wire diameter matches the cross-sectional area specified on the certification. If the conductor cross-section is too small, it can easily cause the wire to heat up and lead to a short circuit. Aluminum-plastic composite tape manufacturers recommend using products with a 1.5 square millimeter or larger specification for household lighting circuit wires; for appliances with higher power like air conditioners, microwave ovens, etc., wires with a 2.5 square millimeter or larger specification should be used.

Additionally, adhere to proper wiring standards. Opt for using single-core BV wires in conduits. Be cautious not to damage the wires during installation, and avoid damaging them during room decoration. Do not make connections in the middle of the same circuit. And, when connecting wires to an electrical box, do not touch the wires.

Insulating materials for copper-plastic composite tapes are widely used electrical materials, and the performance requirements for these materials vary in different electrical equipment. However, the macroscopic properties of most insulating materials, such as electrical, thermal, mechanical, chemical resistance, climate resistance, and corrosion resistance, are closely related to their chemical composition and molecular structure.
