LED premium sign letters have the following characteristics:
(1) Cost-effective, conventional vacuum-formed letters, also known as neon letters, consist of two sets of letters and the lights inside. This results in higher costs. In contrast, LED externally illuminated letters can be made from sheet metal or stainless steel, with lighting installed through drilled holes, significantly reducing costs.
(2) Easy to maintain, the exposed LED beads can be removed from the outside, whereas the vacuum-formed LED box letters require the letters to be taken apart. For skyscrapers, the cost of removing, repairing, and reinstalling the letters is significant, as it often involves the use of scaffolding or hiring a basket crane.
(3) The even illumination is achieved due to the limitations of stroke size in vacuum-formed letters, which means that strokes too small to be accommodated in standard molds cannot be illuminated. Consequently, there may be areas within a character that are not evenly lit. In contrast, LED backlit letters are equipped with individual LED lights, thus eliminating this issue unless the lights are faulty.
(4) Exposed LED letters, as the light is exposed, are not affected by other elements, thus, they offer higher brightness compared to vacuum-formed LED letters.
