Electrical cut-off butterfly valves are suitable for applications requiring two-way switching (cut-off) control or regulation. These valves are structured into metal-sealed and soft-sealed configurations. The metal-sealed design uses a "U"-shaped stainless steel sealing ring, which, as a precise elastic seal, makes a three-dimensional eccentric contact with the polished butterfly plate. This design overcomes the issue of sliding contact friction on the sealing surface during the 0° to 10° opening and closing stages of traditional eccentric butterfly valves, achieving immediate separation of the sealing surface upon opening and immediate sealing upon closing, thereby extending service life and enhancing sealing performance. The soft-sealed structure employs a clamped butterfly valve body, with a Teflon or rubber lining on the inner wall of the valve body, ensuring a complete seal with the butterfly plate, thus guaranteeing zero leakage of the medium. Consequently, electrical cut-off butterfly valves are widely used on pipelines transporting corrosive media such as metallurgy, electricity, oil, chemicals, air, coal gas, combustible gases, and water supply and drainage systems. They are an excellent device for regulating flow and cutting off fluids.
