I. Product Description A waterproof cap is a polyethylene material treated with high-energy ion radiation, shaped like a hat. It is formed by expanding polyethylene pipe material and then bonding a layer of thermoplastic adhesive film. The waterproof cap boasts high mechanical strength, resistance to aging, environmental stress cracking, and good sealing properties, with a long service life. This product is suitable for waterproofing and protection of the ends of various sizes of polyurethane foam plastic insulation pipes. II. Performance Features: Shrinkable waterproof caps, featuring one-piece, single-step heat-shrink formation, offer resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, aging, strong adhesion, easy installation, and quick operation. III. Product Application Range Waterproofing and protective coating for the ends of various models of insulation pipelines suitable for underwater and river crossings. IV. Construction Method Method for applying定型 waterproof caps: Clean and abrade the overlap area between the large end of the waterproof cap and the jacket. 3. Preheat the steel pipes and the abraded jacket sections to 50°C (without affecting the original protective coating). 4. Insert the waterproof cap 5. Heat the waterproof cap's large end evenly around with a heater until the thermoplastic adhesive oozes out. (If the temperature is high, there may be slippage when heating the small end; cover it with a damp cloth). 6. Do not overheat the waterproof cap end (where it adheres to the foam). 7. Heat the small end of the waterproof cap until the hot melt glue extrudes. After shrinkage is complete, roll the waterproof cap once with a roller. 8. Upon completion, the surface should be bubble-free, without carbonization and no noticeable creases. All edges should have excess adhesive and be firmly bonded. Installation Method for Non-Specific Waterproof Caps Heat the PE insulation around the circumference 5-7 cm from the edge to approximately 50℃ on the surface, then brush with a fine steel brush. Remove the isolation paper from the不定型防水帽, and slip the insulation layer over the steel pipe along its axial direction (7cm from the end), forming the larger end. 3. Uniformly heat the uncured waterproof cap that is wrapped around the insulation layer, causing it to shrink evenly in all 360° directions. Stop heating when adhesive starts to ooze from the circumference of the insulation layer, and the uncured waterproof cap is tightly shrink-wrapped onto the insulation. Then, apply pressure with a roller to ensure the shrunken area adheres closely to the insulation layer. 4. Follow the above method to operate another insulation pipe, bake 3-5 pipes consecutively (5 pipes are better in summer), then perform the shrinkage operation on the small end (i.e., the steel pipe section), but avoid heating and shrinking both the large and small ends at the same time to prevent the large end from slipping down.
