Operating Principle

Material is added to the center of the upper part of the shell, where it is stirred by the continuously reversing rake teeth. The material moves axially back and forth, its surface in contact with the inner wall of the shell is constantly renewed, indirectly heated by steam, and uniformly mixed by the rake teeth. The material is crushed to vaporize moisture within, under the vacuum system's action, facilitating the favorable expulsion of internal and surface moisture from the dried material. The vaporized moisture is then passed through a dry dust collector, a wet dust collector, and a condenser before being vented from the vacuum pump outlet.
