EPDM On-Site Casting Elastic Floor Construction Process Description:
The primary raw materials for the EPDM poured elastic flooring are adhesive and EPDM granules. The product has strict requirements for the base surface and construction techniques. When using our products, please note the following points:
I. Requirements for the Basic Base Surface
1. The foundation paving can be done with asphalt concrete or cement concrete, with a requirement for certain strength and stability (for cement concrete foundations, the expansion joints need to be cut, waterproofing layer is optional).
2. The base must not develop cracks or uneven frost heave due to freezing.
3. The base must have good flatness and specified slope.
4. The surface must be flat and drainable.
5. Ensure the base surface remains clean and dry. After completion of the base, strictly adhere to the maintenance period.

Section II: Construction Technique Requirements
1. Construction Categories: There are two construction methods, mechanical laying and manual installation.
2. Surface Pre-treatment: First, ensure the surface is clean, free of any dirt, dust, water (including watermarks), oil stains, etc. After cleaning, apply the primer evenly on the base (mix diluent: adhesive in a 3-4:1 ratio), to enhance its adhesion to the ground, and avoid irreversible consequences.
3. Prior to construction, a sample test must be conducted. Pay attention to the following issues:
Material usage status, such as material ratio and whether the curing time of the material is normal.
b: Observe 24 hours later for any non-adherence issues as well as whether the adhesion and strength meet the required specifications.
4. Pre-job preparation (manual): Material and tools (mallets, rollers, soap water, wheelbarrows, rakes, etc.) preparation.
5. Construction Personnel Requirements: At least two (2) workers are required: one for material preparation and transportation, and one for laying.
6. Construction (Manual): Mix the materials proportionally, pour them onto the site, and spread evenly. After applying soap water, compact the boards to ensure a flat and seamless surface, maintaining overall evenness.
7. Site thickness requirements: black granules at 8mm, EPDM colored granules at 5mm.
8. Construction Cautionary Notes (Manual)
1) Construction temperature: 15-35°C; excessive or low temperatures may affect the construction process.
2) The spreading tool used (commonly referred to as a trowel or a spreader).
3) Ensure thorough and even mixing of the blends.
4) Each batch must be well-seamed; otherwise, there will be seams.
5) Ensure the trimming is neat.
6) Always mix ingredients strictly in the correct proportions.
