Additionally, 316 stainless steel wire is resistant to erosion from marine and corrosive industrial atmospheres. It also has good oxidation resistance. Avoid continuous heating of 316 stainless steel within the range of 800-1575 degrees; however, when used outside this temperature range, the steel demonstrates excellent heat resistance. The 316L stainless steel has better resistance to carbide precipitation than the 316 stainless steel.
