What are some widely-used Beijing shelves?
The Beijing warehouse racking commonly used in the market can be divided into three types: Light-duty Beijing Rack, Medium-duty Beijing Rack, and Heavy-duty Beijing Rack.
Lightweight Beijing Shelves: Each shelf can support less than 200kg, with columns and beams connected by rivets, made of universal angle steel. Installation and disassembly of the lightweight shelves require no tools, making them extremely convenient. The shelves come in wooden and steel options, allowing for selection based on needs. The lightweight shelves can be equipped with casters for conversion into mobile material racks. These shelves are lightweight, simple, aesthetically pleasing, and practical, suitable for use as sample racks, material racks, storage shelves for office items, and more.
What are some widely used Beijing shelving applications?
Medium-sized Beijing Shelves: Each shelf can bear a load of 200 to 800 kg. The columns and beams are connected with professional interlocking brackets, made of cold-rolled steel. The installation of the shelves is simple, and the shelf panels can be optionally made of wood or steel, just like in light-duty shelves. Generally, medium-sized shelves are used in warehouses where manual picking is the norm.
Heavy Duty Beijing Shelves: Each shelf can bear a weight of 800 to 3,000 kg. The column and beam connection method is the same as that of medium-duty shelves, utilizing professional plug-in connectors. Made of cold-rolled steel, these shelves are designed for tray-based unitized storage and are compatible with forklifts. In warehouses, heavy-duty shelves are commonly used with pallet forklifts.
Many customers, when purchasing Beijing shelves, are unaware of the base load capacity of these shelves, and there is also a lack of specific information about load-bearing online. To give everyone a deeper understanding of the load-bearing capacity of Beijing shelves, we will discuss how much load Beijing shelves can bear next.
Beijing shelving load, simply put, refers to the bearing capacity, which is the various forces directly applied to the structure. The load capacity of Beijing shelving refers to the maximum weight of goods it can support. Generally speaking, the base load of Beijing shelving is 100KG per shelf, and when the industry mentions a load capacity of 100KG, it refers to the load per shelf, i.e., the bearing capacity.

Do you know the basic load capacity of Beijing shelving?
Due to the majority of our Beijing warehouse shelving being customized, the load capacity can be tailored to meet customer requirements. However, the base load capacity is typically set at 100KG per shelf, with higher capacities reaching several tons per shelf, depending on the type of warehouse shelving, design specifications, and other factors.
The standard load capacity for our in-stock Beijing shelves starts at 100KG. Some customers inquire if there are options for 50KG or 80KG capacities. We recommend the 100KG capacity for Beijing shelves, as lower capacities are more challenging to design and produce, requiring higher technical expertise and resulting in increased costs.
Customers sometimes estimate the load capacity for each level based on the total weight of their goods, but this method is not very accurate. Generally, the specifications of storage racks are designed based on the size of the goods and the number of items intended to be placed on each level, then calculate the required load capacity per level according to the size and quantity of the goods. This approach to designing load capacity is more accurate.
