Product Description:

The PP spray tower employs a gas-liquid reverse absorption method for treatment, where the liquid is sprayed down from the top of the tower in a misty (or small droplet) form. The waste gas is directed through the tower body (in reverse flow) to achieve gas-liquid contact. This process cools the waste gas, adjusts the gas composition, and removes particles. After passing through a demisting section, it is released into the atmosphere.

One,Principle of Operation: PP Spray Tower

The system's fan unit吸入exhaust gas into the scrubber tower, flowing through the packed section (gas)./Fluid Contact Reaction Medium), allowing the waste gas to be fully contacted with the flowing (washing liquid) over the filling material surface to adsorb acidic or alkaline pollutants contained in the waste gas.

After washing, the waste liquid is collected into the sedimentation tank and then discharged into the wastewater treatment system. Gases inside the tower are introduced by a fan, flowing from bottom to top. The absorbent liquid is pumped into the top of the tower by an acid-resistant pump and uniformly sprayed downward through a distributor, forming countercurrent absorption. After neutralization, the gas is passed through the tower's demisting section and then discharged into the atmosphere through the chimney. Different acidic gases are absorbed using different absorbent liquids. Sodium hydroxide (Solution of NaOH is used as the absorption neutralizing liquid. When the solution concentration is 2-6%, the purification efficiency for (HCL) acid mist (initial concentration <400 mg/m3) reaches over 98%; for (H2SO4) acid mist (initial concentration <300 mg/m3), the efficiency is over 97%; and for nitric acid (HNO3) acid mist (initial concentration <100 mg/m3), the efficiency is over 90%.

Two,PP Spray Tower System Composition:

The standard spray tower structure is summarized as: one layer of demister, two layers of spray, three layers of packing, four viewing windows, and five quick-connect ball valves.

Anti-fog layer:

Generally separated by a grate, with filling materials placed on top, the filling layer height can reach500mm. To enhance defogging efficiency, our spray tower can be equipped with a plate-type defogger.

2. Sprinkler Layer

The spray layer is composed of spray pipes and nozzles, with different densities of pipes and nozzles set according to the diameter of the spray tower. Utilizing superior nozzles ensures even spraying, high flow rates, and is less prone to clogging.

3. Filling Layer

The filling section is placed above the demisting section and spray section, where the packing material is positioned. The main packing materials include multi-faced hollow spheres and Raschig rings. The filling section inside the spray tower serves as a mass transfer equipment for the gas-liquid two-phase contact. At the bottom of the filling tower, support plates for the packing are installed, with the packing placed randomly on these plates. A packing pressure plate is mounted above the packing to prevent it from being blown away by the ascending gas flow. The spray liquid from the spray tower is sprayed onto the packing from the top through a liquid distributor, flowing down along the surface of the packing.

4. Window:

Also known as the inspection port, the typically molded window isφ500mm and φ400mm sizes available. The main function of the viewing window is to monitor the operation of the spray tower and to replace packing or inspect the nozzles.

5. Live Swivel Ball Valve

Primarily controls the circulating water switch.

In addition, the recirculating water tank is also an essential component of the spray tower. The tank can be flexibly configured, either connected or not connected to the tower body.

ThreeTechnical Features of PP Spray Tower:

Highly efficient purification rate, capable of effectively removing main pollutants such as sulfuric acid mist, chromic acid mist, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and difficult-to-treat waste gases like hydrogen chloride, with a removal efficiency ofOver 95%. The PP spray tower is highly customizable, allowing for various shapes based on different spatial designs. Additionally, the PP treatment tower can be designed with different internal structures according to air volume, pressure, absorption efficiency, and waste gas types, achieving effective treatment and economic investment. It has a long service life, as the PP tower material itself has antioxidant properties, and UV absorbers are added during processing to ensure a lifespan of up to 15 years indoors and outdoors. No need for dedicated maintenance staff; regular checks at scheduled intervals suffice, reducing labor costs. The PP spray tower manufacturers also schedule personnel to record on-site operation regularly. Low operating costs, with no need for frequent replacements of wear parts. The PP material has higher temperature resistance than traditional PP, PVC, PE, etc., with liquid resistance exceeding 100°C. It is an economical and practical material for special waste gases and absorption media. The PP absorption tower is resistant to corrosion from all conventional absorption liquids, such as sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, sodium thiosulfate, sodium sulfide, sulfuric acid, ammonia water, sodium hypochlorite, organic solvents, and more.

Spraying towers can be widely used in the purification and treatment of acidic and alkaline waste gases emitted during the processes in various industries such as chemical engineering, electronics, metallurgy, electroplating, textile (man-made fiber), food, and mechanical manufacturing. This includes processes like flavoring food, acid production, acid pickling, electroplating, and electrolysis.

2. Spray towers are widely applicable for pollution control of lead dust or mercury vapor in industries such as printing, battery production, non-ferrous metal smelting, as well as for acid washing waste gas or other waste gas purification in industries like chemicals, smelting, electroplating, cathode ray tubes, dyeing, instruments, electronic components, and mechanical manufacturing.

3. In dust removal applications, spray towers can serve as wet scrubbers, particularly suitable for scenarios with low dust concentration but certain toxicity in the gas. As long as the configuration is properly selected, the purified gas can meet national emission standards.
