GSM/GPRS/EDGE Testing Function
In the no signaling mode, the instrument is composed of independent GSM/EDGE generators and analyzers. Once the RF signal enters the test input, it begins to be measured with an independent external trigger signal or signaling sequence. This mode is highly ideal for measuring RF bandwidth and modulation in low or no signaling states.
In signaling mode, the CMU300 operates in sync with the base station, with the primary focus being BER testing and real-time signal transmission. This mode is particularly suitable for the final testing of TRX modulation or comprehensive base station testing. In many applications, instruments can be synchronized via the base station's navigation channel (BCCH). It is also possible to trigger the CMU300 using frame clock.
