The primary methods for rust removal and oxidation scale elimination from wrought iron railing include manual handling, mechanical processing, jet treatment, chemical treatment (acid washing), electrochemical processing, and flame treatment.
1. Common mechanical processing tools include air (electric) brushes, rust removers, polishing wheels, and air (electric) shovels. These tools utilize the high-frequency impact and friction of mechanical force to remove rust, oxidation scale, and old paint.
2. Hand processing primarily employs tools such as sandpaper, putty knives, chisels, wire brushes, and worn-out sanding wheels to manually sand, knock, and brush away rust, oxidation scales, weld slag, and dust from the surface of wrought iron railings.
3. Chemical treatment involves soaking or dissolving wrought iron products in an acidic solution with a special formula, which through chemical reactions removes oxidation scale, rust stains, and oil, commonly known as "acid pickling."
4. Jet treatment utilizes mechanical centrifugal force, compressed air, high-pressure water jets, etc., to propel abrasives, sandstones, and steel shots onto the surface of iron art fences, effectively removing oxidation scales, rust stains, old paint, molding sand, and more through impact and friction.
