Magnesium sulfate

Magnesium sulfate, also known as Epsom salt, bitter salt, or salts of sulfateMGSO4·7H20)It is a white or colorless, needle-like or oblique-columnar crystalline solid, odorless, cool with a slight bitterness. It decomposes upon heating, gradually losing crystalline water to become anhydrous magnesium sulfate. Primarily used in the production of fertilizers, leather processing, dyeing, catalysts, papermaking, plastics, ceramics, pigments, matches, explosives, and fire-retardant materials. It can be used for dyeing thin cotton and silk fabrics, acting as a weighting agent for cotton and silk and a filler for cotton products.
