Installation Precautions for Carbon Steel Flanges

(1) The sealing gasket should have good oil resistance and aging resistance, as well as good elasticity and mechanical strength. Installation should select gaskets of different cross-sections and sizes according to the shape of the connection, and be properly placed.

(2) The gasket of the carbon steel flange should be properly seated in the receiving groove, with the specified direction and large end facing inward, without any twisting. Installation negligence must be reviewed. If the result or cause of expansion, the molten steel must be refined and poured into the ladle after verification, with the long spout injecting into the middle package.

(3) Carbon steel flange fastening force should be even and consistent; the gasket compression should be controlled to be around 1/3.

(4) Different steel structures can achieve a matching between crystallizer vibration processes and protective slag, thereby enabling the injection of stainless steel pipe fittings.

(5) Carbon steel flanges must have sufficient strength and not deform during tightening. The sealing surface of carbon steel flanges should be flat and clean, and oil stains and rust spots should be carefully cleaned during installation.
