Ship with Flange

Flanged fittings are used on ships, where flanges are components that connect pipes together. They are attached to the ends of pipes.

A flat焊接flange is a type of flange where the pipe is inserted into the bore and焊接. There are two types of flat welding flanges: necked flat welding flanges and plate butt welding flanges.

The flat welding flange boasts simple manufacturing and low production costs, but it is not resistant to high temperatures and pressures. It is primarily used in pipeline systems with pressures below 2.5 MPa at normal temperatures and is widely adopted in ship applications.

Shipboard butt-welding flanges, also known as high-neck flanges, refer to flanges with a neck that transition to a round pipe and are butt-welded to the pipe. These flanges have high rigidity, are less prone to deformation, provide good sealing, and are widely used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The nominal pressure PN is around 16 MPa. They are primarily used in compressed air and carbon dioxide pipe systems.
