The location of glass-fiber reinforced septic tanks should be set in a way that does not affect the building foundation; generally, the distance from the drinking water pool should not be less than 10 meters. The distance from underground water intake structures should not be less than 30 meters. When the building foundation plane is higher than the septic tank foundation plane, the distance from the septic tank outer wall should not be less than 2 meters. When the building foundation plane is lower than the septic tank foundation plane, the clear distance from the septic tank outer wall to the building outer wall should not be less than 5 meters.

The overall glass-fiber reinforced plastic septic tank should also have a small covering of 0.3m, and the large covering should not exceed 3m. In cold regions, when the low temperature is below -10°C, the depth of covering for the septic tank must be no less than 12m. In areas where the average monthly temperature in the coldest month is less than -13°C, when designers are considering the depth of the glass-fiber reinforced plastic septic tank, it is advisable to set the tank below the freezing line of that region.
4. Glass-fiber reinforced plastic septic tanks can be installed under green belts, lawns, sidewalks, with the soil cover not exceeding 1.5 meters; they can also be placed along roadways.
