Regularly used bearings can see their lifespan diminished if not cleaned regularly, as the accumulated oil污 can degrade their performance.
Hardened bearings coated with soft dry oil or rustproof paste should be immersed in hot engine oil at 100℃ to 200℃. Clamp the bearing with pliers and clean the oil污 from the bearing with a brush. The soft dry oil or rustproof paste melts at 100℃ to 200℃ and can easily be flushed out from the gaps in the bearing. Sometimes, simply shaking the bearing in the oil multiple times is sufficient for the oil污 to flow out. When cleaning the radial ball bearing, the balls, cage, and inner race should be removed from the outer race and then immersed in the hot oil. For short cylindrical roller bearings, the rollers, cage, inner and outer races should also be disassembled. During the hot oil cleaning process, the oil temperature should not exceed 20℃.
Surface Cleaning
Cleaning must be selected according to the properties of the surface to be rust-proofed and the current conditions. Generally, common methods include solvent cleaning, chemical treatment cleaning, and mechanical cleaning.
Drying compressed air for drying
After surface cleaning, the item can be dried using filtered dry compressed air, or dried in a dryer at 120~170°C, or dried with a clean cloth.
