In our daily lives, whether it's for shipping or packing items, we can't escape the use of cardboard boxes. But do you know what the raw material for cardboard boxes is? The raw material used by cardboard box factories is pulp (sourced from materials like reeds, wheat straw, and wood, which are cut into sheets for chemical pulp production or wood chips for mechanical pulp production). These small pieces of raw material are then placed in a digester, where they are cooked with chemical liquids using steam to transform them into pulp.

A little more about paperboxes: Pulp is a fibrous material derived from plant fibers, produced through various processing methods. It can be categorized into mechanical pulp, chemical pulp, and chemical mechanical pulp, depending on the processing technique; or into wood pulp, straw pulp, hemp pulp, reed pulp, sugarcane pulp, bamboo pulp, and rag pulp, based on the fiber raw material used. Additionally, it can be classified into refined pulp, bleached pulp, unbleached pulp, high-yield pulp, semi-chemical pulp, and more, according to different purity levels. Generally, pulp is widely used in the production of paper and cardboard. Refined pulp, besides being used for specialty papers, is also often employed as a raw material for the production of cellulose esters, cellulose ethers, and other cellulose derivatives. It also finds applications in man-made fibers, plastics, coatings, films, and other areas.
