Temperature sensors installed on pipelines transmit the detected temperature to the temperature control instruments within the intelligent temperature control distribution box via signal cables. The temperature control instrument compares the received temperature with the set temperature. When the current temperature is higher than the set temperature, the electric tracing heating does not operate. When the current temperature is lower than the set temperature, the electric tracing heating begins to work. To avoid frequent startups, a hysteresis is usually set. The distribution box can also communicate remotely with the control room or DCS system, allowing for observation and control of the tracing heating's startup and shutdown from a distance.

Inspect the pipeline surface for smoothness, free of burrs and sharp edges, and ensure it is dry and free of debris; check that the internal paint on the pipeline is fully cured and the volatile gases have evaporated for over three weeks; verify that the associated heating tape materials and accessories match those specified in the design sheet; and ensure that all construction materials are intact and undamaged.
Tianjin Pipe Heat Tracing System Installation Key Points:
Electric tracing is typically installed on pipelines using a straight laying or winding method. During installation, a heat-resistant pressure-sensitive tape is used to secure the tracing at intervals of 300-600mm. After installation, an aluminum foil tape is laid along the tracing to increase the heated area of the pipeline. The power junction box and temperature sensor are secured to the pipeline with stainless steel straps. Under conditions where the temperature is not high, a heat-resistant pressure-sensitive tape can be used for fixation. When the temperature exceeds 200°C, stainless steel clamps are generally required for securement.
