Thermally coupled heaters can generate heat even without an apparent circuit design, thanks to their internal heating elements. This heating principle is based on the electrothermal effect, which is the heat produced when current passes through resistance. These heaters convert electrical energy into heat energy by means of carefully designed heating elements, insulation, and metal sheaths, and then transfer this heat to external objects for heating purposes.
The Principle of Heat Generation Accompanying Tropical Heat
1. Resistance Heating: The heating cables within the thermal blanket are made of conductive materials. As current passes through these materials, the electrical energy is converted into heat due to the presence of resistance. This heat is then transferred through the insulation and metallic sheath of the thermal blanket to heat external objects.
2. Electric Heating Element Design: The internal electric heating elements (such as resistance wire or conductive materials) within the heating tape are meticulously designed to ensure even and stable heat output upon power application. Parameters such as resistance value, length, and diameter of these electric heating elements all affect their heating efficiency and power output.
Work Accommodating Tropical Conditions:
The heating blanket is placed on the object that requires heating and connected to the power supply via a connector.
2. Once the power is connected, the current passes through the electric heating elements within the companion heater, generating heat.
These calories are transferred to external objects through the insulating layer of the companioned heating element and the metallic sheath, thereby achieving the heating purpose.
Two characteristics of companion tropical features:
Self-limiting temperature heating tape: This heating tape features an automatic temperature control function, which can automatically adjust the output power based on the ambient temperature and the temperature of the heated object. When the temperature reaches the set value, the resistance element in the heating tape will automatically increase, and the current will decrease, thereby limiting further temperature rise.
Constant Power Electric Heat Tracing Tape: The constant power electric heat tracing tape requires an external temperature controller to regulate its power output, ensuring temperature stability during the heating process. This type of heat tracing tape maintains a fixed power output across all temperature ranges, making it suitable for applications with stringent temperature requirements.
