Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) products are finished goods made by processing resins and glass fibers. The main types of GFRP products include GFRP storage tanks, mixing tanks, cooling towers, water tanks, pipe grates, pipes, wet electrostatic fog eliminators, GFRP anode rod modules, chimneys, absorption towers, and acid mist purification towers. GFRP, a type of advanced composite material developed in the early 20th century abroad, boasts numerous advantages such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, thermal insulation, electrical insulation, and soundproofing. Due to its strength comparable to that of steel and the glass content, it also exhibits glass-like properties such as color, shape, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and heat insulation. Like glass, this material has historically earned the easily understandable name "fiberglass."
Fiberglass products have a wide range of applications, serving as an ideal substitute for some metals and plastics. They not only save on metal energy consumption but also reduce plastic pollution caused by non-biodegradable materials. In rural areas, fiberglass rain shelters offer performance comparable to plastic and significantly extended lifespans. Fiberglass storage tanks are extensively used in industries such as coatings, construction materials, chemicals, pigments, resins, food, and scientific research. Fiberglass pipelines are employed in urban water supply, municipal drainage, and agricultural irrigation.
