ASTM A210 C Grade Seamless Carbon Steel Boiler and Superheater Tubes Standard: ASTM A210/A210M ASTM A210 C Grade Seamless Boiler and Superheater Tubes are typically supplied in sizes and thicknesses ranging from 1/2 inch to 5 inches [12.7 to 127mm outside diameter], wall thickness from 0.035 to 0.500 inch [0.9 to 12.7mm] (inclusive), with thin walls from 0.035 to 0.500 inch.

Required mechanical tests (1) Tensile test - Conduct a tensile test on batch samples with no more than 50 tubes. For batches with more than 50 tubes, perform a tensile test on samples from two tubes.
(2) Flatten Test - Perform a flatten test on a sample from both ends of each batch of finished pipes.
(3) Expansion Test – Conduct an expansion test on a sample from each end of the finished pipe from every batch.
(4) Hardness Testing - Brinell or Rockwell hardness tests should be conducted on two tubes from each batch.
(5) Static Pressure or Non-Destructive Electrical Testing - Each tube shall undergo static pressure and non-destructive electrical testing. In addition to the markings specified in Specification A 450/A 450M, the marking should also indicate whether the tube is heat finished or cold finished. If surface treatment such as pickling or shot blasting, or both, is required, it should be specified in the order.
