Categories

Copper scrap encompasses a wide range, including copper, brass, bronze, and white copper waste materials. Among them, scrap copper, such as old cables, copper pipes, rods, plates, blocks, and strips, is abundant. According to the ease of recyclable processing, they can be categorized into 5 types.

Category 1:

(a) Copper tubes, rods, sheets, blocks, and strips, with clean surfaces, free of oil mud and other adhesives or impurities.

(b) Various bare copper wires, short wires, and other pure copper scrap.

Category 2:

(a) If copper scrap is mixed with paper shavings, various insulating materials, a small amount of sludge, rust, and debris, the total mass shall not exceed 1%.

(b) Insulated wire with a diameter of 0.3mm or more should be free of dirt and debris.

Category 3: Various scrapped pure copper electrical switches and components with thin galvanized coatings.
