Lithium cobalt oxide advantages
Inhibit battery polarization, reduce thermal effects, and enhance rate performance.
2. Reduced battery internal resistance and significantly decreased the dynamic increase in internal resistance during the cycling process.
3. Enhance consistency and extend the battery's cycle life.
4. Enhance the adhesion of active materials to the collector, reducing the cost of anode manufacturing.
5. Protect the collector from electrolyte corrosion.
6. Improve the processing properties of lithium iron phosphate and lithium titanate materials.
Lithium cobalt oxide applications: Primarily used as cathode material in the production of lithium-ion batteries for mobile phones, laptops, and other portable electronic devices. Also used in the preparation of cobalt salts and as a cobalt catalyst. When cobalt oxide is mixed and sintered, it yields a blue pigment with a greenish sheen, known as cobalt blue (chemical formula Al2CoO4), which is heat, light, acid, and alkali-resistant. Heating cobalt oxide with zinc hydroxide produces a green pigment. These pigments are used in the manufacturing of ceramic glazes, paint pigments, colored glass, and for drawing purposes. The name of this cobalt oxide chemical is typically a gray powder, sometimes in green-brown crystalline form.
