Introduction to Metallurgical Cranes.

Structural Features:

- Frame structure: Primarily uses box-shaped main beams, such as double girder bridge structures, offering good vertical and horizontal rigidity, capable of withstanding significant loads.

- Lifting Mechanism: Typically equipped with two drive units and two braking systems, including both working and safety brakes, to ensure safe and reliable operation even if one drive or braking system fails.

- Electrical System: Heat-insulating protection measures are used externally for electrical equipment such as motors. The lifting operation motors are equipped with a cone-shaped rotor motor with a higher starting torque to accommodate the frequent direct starts during the intermittent operation of the crane, and high-temperature-resistant cables are employed.

Operating Principle:

By means of the longitudinal movement of the large vehicle along the factory track, the lateral movement of the trolley, and the lifting and lowering of the hoist, the hoisting, handling, and transportation of metal materials, equipment, and components are achieved.

Application Fields:

- Steelmaking Process: Iron melt is poured into a mixer furnace or directly into a converter in the converter workshop. Additionally, molten steel can be hoisted to the continuous casting tundish turntable or refining furnace, etc.

- Rolling Process: Hoisting steel billets to the rolling mill for rolling and then lifting the rolled steel to the finished product storage area.

Non-ferrous Metallurgy: Used for hoisting various raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods in non-ferrous metal smelting factories.

- Hot Processing Workshop: Used for lifting high-temperature workpieces in forging, heat treatment, and other hot processing workshops, facilitating operations such as forging and quenching.
