Introduction to Grab Cranes:

Working Principle:

The grab crane performs lifting operations through the main boom and controls the opening and rotation of the grab using the grab mechanism. The twin rope grab has a supporting rope and an opening/closing rope. After the grab is opened, it falls onto the material, then by reeling in the opening/closing wire rope, the two jaw plates close to grab the material. Subsequently, the supporting wire rope is lifted to hoist the grab, transporting the material to the unloading area. Finally, the opening/closing rope is released to open the grab and unload the material.

Category:

- By crane type: Bridge grab cranes, suitable for fixed indoor or outdoor locations; Gate grab cranes, with larger span and height, used for outdoor fixed yards.

- By beam count: Can be divided into single-beam grab cranes and double-beam grab cranes, mainly used for bridge cranes, with similar functions to bridge grab cranes.

- Drive Type: Hydraulic Grab Cranes, powered by hydraulic cylinders for easy operation and fast lifting speed; Mechanical Grab Cranes, driven by external forces such as ropes or levers, including double-rope grabs and single-rope grabs, etc.
