Introduction to Grab Cranes:

Operating Principle:

The grab crane operates lifting through the main boom and controls the opening and rotation of the grab using the grab mechanism. The double rope grab has a support rope and an opening/closing rope. After the grab is opened, it falls onto the material, then by reeling in the opening/closing wire rope, the two jaw plates close to grab the material. Next, the support wire rope is lifted to hoist the grab, transporting the material to the unloading area. Finally, releasing the opening/closing rope allows the grab to open and discharge the material.

Category:

- By crane type: Bridge grab cranes, suitable for indoor or outdoor fixed locations; Gantry grab cranes, with larger span and height, used for outdoor fixed yards.

- By beam count: Can be divided into single-beam grab cranes and double-beam grab cranes, mainly used for bridge cranes, with functions similar to bridge grab cranes.

- Drive Type: Hydraulic grab cranes, powered by hydraulic cylinders for easy operation and fast lifting speed; mechanical grab cranes, driven by external forces such as ropes or rods, including double-rope grabs and single-rope grabs, etc.
