Stretching molds, also known as stretching dies, are tools used for mass production of required stampings from materials (either metallic or non-metallic). Depending on their assembly, stretching dies can be categorized into single-stroke drawing dies, compound dies, and progressive drawing dies. They can also be differentiated by the stamping press used, such as single-action, double-action, and triple-action drawing dies, with the primary distinction being the type of blanking device (elastic or rigid blanking). Stretching dies can further be divided into initial drawing dies and subsequent process drawing dies, with the main difference lying in the structure and positioning of the blanking rings.
