One style
Tents are designed for various uses and come in different styles. In terms of their shape, common tents can generally be categorized into five styles.
The Triangle Tent: Featuring a V-shaped iron rod frame at the front and back, with a horizontal bar connecting the middle to support the inner tent. Simply set up the outer tent for use, this was a common tent style in the early days.
2. Round-top Tents: Featuring dual pole cross-bracing for easy assembly and disassembly, these tents are popular on the market.
The 3-Sided Hex Tent: Featuring a three or four-rod cross-support design, some models even incorporate a six-rod design, emphasizing the tent's stability, making it a common style for "mountain" tents.
Two Specifications
Tents are categorized based on the number of users, including solo tents, double tents, four-person tents, five-person tents, six-person tents, and eight-person tents. Of course, there are also larger tents that can accommodate more. We can select a tent of the appropriate size to suit individual needs.
Wednesday - Weight
If you're into mountaineering activities, the weight of your tent is crucial. Tents suitable for climbing are often made with high-tech materials, which are lightweight and ideal for highly mobile outdoor activities, though they come at a higher price.
Tents for camping are usually made from standard materials, weighing heavily and not suitable for easy carrying. They are typically stored in vehicles and set up at the destination, being relatively affordable. Therefore, when selecting a tent, consider the conditions of use.
Four fabrics
The rainfly or outer tent of the tent is made of waterproof nylon to resist water penetration. A tent with good waterproofing will have waterproof sealant applied to the seams to enhance its waterproofing. The material of the main tent or inner tent is not as waterproof as the outer tent, but it offers good breathability. The groundsheet of the tent, like the outer tent, must prevent moisture from seeping in from the ground, so the waterproofing of the groundsheet is very necessary, and attention must be paid when choosing.
Five Colors
Many people tend to choose their favorite colors based on personal preference, with muted greens and palladium being great picks. Tents in high-visibility colors not only stand out visually but also make it easier to be found. Tents with low visibility have less light transmission, blocking some of the natural heat provided by the sun, which can affect activities inside the tent, especially during poor weather, making the difference between the two more noticeable.
