January 31, 2024, the 2023 Annual Conference of the Education Equipment Professional Committee of the China Quality Inspection Association, co-hosted by the Education Equipment Professional Committee of the China Quality Inspection Association and the County Economic Forum of the China Reform and Development Forum, and jointly organized by Beijing Smart Walnut Education Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Beijing.
The conference received strong support from multiple organizations, including the China Reform and Development Forum, Beijing Higher Education Association, and the Committee for Eco-school Actions among Primary and Middle Schools. Leaders from the education sector and nearly 40 outstanding enterprises in various industries gathered to discuss how to excel in science education, accelerate the enhancement of young people's scientific literacy, and share exemplary cases of new materials, technologies, and processes in educational equipment. This initiative aims to drive the accelerated and balanced development of compulsory education across different regions. The conference was chaired by Chen Yufeng, Deputy Director of the County Economy Forum of the China Reform and Development Forum, Assistant Director of the Committee for Eco-school Actions among Primary and Middle Schools, and Assistant to the Director of the Education Equipment Professional Committee of the China Quality Inspection Association.
China Education Logistics Association's Second Council Chairman and former Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, Liu Jianping, extended warm congratulations on the smooth opening of the conference. He emphasized the need for the education logistics sector to concentrate its strengths in advancing the high-quality development of campus ecological civilization. He also made significant instructions on how to promote ecological civilization education and the construction of eco-friendly campuses, as well as how to strengthen the research and development of standards for eco-friendly campus construction.
Dr. Xian Lianping, former Director of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and President of the Beijing Higher Education Association, pointed out in his speech that General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in the report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that building a sound ecological civilization is a millennium-long plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. The construction of a modern ecological civilization has been integrated into China's overall development plan. Against the backdrop of building a beautiful China and vigorously promoting the construction of ecological civilization, the construction of ecological campuses is an important issue that deserves special attention.
Liu Ziyu, the Chairman of the Education Equipment专业委员会 of the China Quality Inspection Association and the Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Eco-Campus Action Committee for Primary and Middle Schools, gave a detailed explanation on how to carry out eco-campus construction in counties across the nation. He shared with the attendees the progress and valuable experiences in eco-campus construction, emphasizing that this work is crucial for the healthy growth and comprehensive development of students, and it also concerns the long-term development of the nation and the people. The construction of eco-campuses has garnered increasing attention and has become an important part of ecological civilization society.
Mr. Zhang Hailin, Director of the County-level Economic Forum of the China Reform and Development Forum and Director of the Education and Training Department at the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Cooperation and Development Promotion Center, delivered a themed report titled "Balanced Development of County-level Compulsory Education." He delved into how to effectively add to scientific education, accelerate the enhancement of young people's scientific literacy, and drive the rapid advancement of high-quality balanced development of county-level compulsory education across regions.
In the corporate sharing session, Walnut Programming Partner and COO Qi Feng delivered a speech titled "The Subtraction of Double Reduction and the Scientific Addition" on "Promoting the Action of Scientific Information Literacy to Assist Eco-Campus Construction." He shared the case of Walnut Programming's public welfare project in schools. Relevant provincial officials from across the country engaged in discussions, sharing their experiences in local initiatives, showcasing outstanding examples of eco-campus construction, and demonstrating their practical capabilities in implementing eco-campus development.
XinCampus Smart City Project Leader and Smart Campus Digital Education Project Executor Ren Xiaojing shared on "How Smart Campus Construction Promotes the Improvement of Eco-friendly Campuses and County Education Equity." By addressing the actual needs of the campus, we provide modules such as campus entrance and exit management, smart payment, smart dining, mental health screening, and science popularization activities. These modules empower the digital construction of the campus, focusing on management, safety, digitalization, and platform construction, offering practical services to education bureaus, schools, teachers, parents, and students.
Zhang Menghan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Popularization Work Committee of the China Automation Society and the Executive Director of the Youth Artificial Intelligence Core Quality Evaluation Working Group, shared the topic "Promoting the Balanced Development of Quality Education in County-level Areas through the Cultivation Project for Innovation Reserve Talents in Artificial Intelligence." She proposed the plan to bring the series of activities by a hundred science popularization experts to county-level schools. In recent years, great importance has been attached to technological innovation and science popularization, with multiple policy documents issued to encourage and support the education of artificial intelligence for young people. Science popularization is the cradle of technological innovation and the foundation for continuous innovation. Only with sufficient popularization can there be a possibility for the emergence of top-notch innovative talents.
Coinciding mortise and tenon puzzle founder, Sun Yukan, a mentor at Tsinghua University's Academy of Fine Arts for intangible cultural heritage entrepreneurs, delivered a report on "Innovative Mortise and Tenon Educational Toys Enrich the Campus Ecosystem, AI Intelligent Courses Help Achieve Balanced County Education." As the "soul" of ancient Chinese architecture, the mortise and tenon is a crystallization of Chinese wisdom and logic, offering a more innovative and interesting method of connection than "Lego interlocking," breaking the monotony and limitations of the existing pressure-button clasps. For Chinese children, combining traditional Chinese skills with modern technology has greater educational value and cultural significance.
Wang Peng, Deputy Director of the Industrial Metaverse Collaborative Development Organization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and member of the editorial board of the MIIT's "Industrial Metaverse White Paper," delivered a themed report on "Lightweight University-Corporate Digital Practice Platform Promoting University Digital Development." The core product, "Digital Training Space Based on Metaverse Technology" and the "No-Code Scene Editor," is the first in China to apply lightweight virtual technology to the training field. Students can complete practical project training in virtual scenarios using mobile devices without leaving campus; corporate in-house trainers and school teachers can quickly construct virtual training scenarios through the no-code editor.
Finally, Wang Yushu, Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Microbiology of JS, YL Research Institute and Expert Consultant of the Beijing Packaging Drinking Water Industry Association, delivered a speech titled "Water, the Source of Life - The Relationship Between Teenagers' Physical Health and Water Health" at the conference. She shared insights on safe water, health-preserving water, and healthy water suitable for teenagers.
This meeting attracted leaders, experts, representatives from various provincial and municipal offices in Beijing, and corporate representatives to participate in an in-depth discussion on the construction of ecological campuses in counties. Participants engaged in free exchange, discussing the balanced development of compulsory education quality and the construction of ecological campuses in counties. The social community will fully utilize the resources of the "China Reform and Development Forum County Economy Grand Forum" platform to continuously promote the development of China's education equipment industry and contribute to the construction of ecological campuses in counties. The success of this meeting not only promotes communication and cooperation among all parties but also sets a direction for future development.
