The operating principle of the pleated filter press:
1. Filtration: After the plate and frame unit is closed, the slurry is pumped into the press filter and simultaneously enters each slurry chamber through distribution hoses. The filtrate passes through the filter cloth and collects in the filtrate box for discharge, while solid matter forms a filter cake on the surface of the filter cloth.
2. Extrusion: High-pressure water enters the upper chamber of the diaphragm, causing the diaphragm to expand and push the filter cake against the filter cloth, squeezing the liquid out through the filter cloth.
3. Washing: The washing liquid enters the pulp chamber through a distribution hose, completely covering the filter cake. Under pressure, it passes through the filter cake and filter cloth before being discharged.
4. Air Drying: After compressed gas enters the slurry chamber through distribution hoses, it raises the diaphragm, allowing high-pressure water on the diaphragm to be discharged from the filter press. The compressed gas passes through the filter cake to remove the liquid, reducing the moisture content of the filter cake, and simultaneously emptying the filtrate frame.
5. Unloading of Cake: Once the drying process is complete, the plate and frame assembly is opened, and the drive mechanism moves the filter cloth. The filter cake is then discharged from both sides of the pressure filter along with the filter cloth.
Note: The number of compression and air-drying processes can be adjusted according to actual needs.
