Reasons and Analysis for Excessive Current in Vibrating Motors

Vibration motors can easily be damaged if the current becomes too high during use, so it's essential to pay close attention. Below, we analyze the causes of excessive current and methods for detection.

Mechanical issues, such as: friction between the vibration motor and external objects during operation, clogged, worn, damaged bearings, insufficient lubrication, or oils not withstanding high temperatures, can lead to overload and excessive load beyond the motor's power rating. Particularly, damaged bearings are prone to cause friction between the rotor and stator, and if not addressed promptly, this condition can lead to the motor winding being burnt out.

The reasons for the electrical part are much more complex: unstable voltage (either too low or too high), missing phases, short circuits between motor winding phases or turns, significant imbalance in three-phase voltage, poor varnishing of the coil, improper grounding insulation, mismatched cables, overheating, and loose joints.

Three, Power Failure Analysis: If the motor runs smoothly and the bearings do not overheat, it is likely an issue with the electrical part.
