Superior Insulation Materials - Silicone Rubber
The development and advancement of insulating materials directly制约 and impact the progress of electrical products. Prior to the 20th century, insulating materials were primarily derived from natural materials or their derivatives, lacking in fire resistance, water resistance, and temperature resistance. It wasn't until the 1950s that insulating materials truly entered a new era of development based on synthetic polymers. New insulating materials, represented by silicone rubber, have increasingly gained favor in the electrical product industry, particularly in the fields of wires and cables, lithium batteries, and new energy products.
This is primarily due to the excellent properties of silicone rubber, such as its non-toxicity, odorlessness, sealing, elasticity, resistance to high and low temperatures, ozone aging, and weathering aging, as well as its good processing properties. Under the action of high-temperature flame erosion, refractory silicone rubber can form a hard ceramicized armor protective layer, which can act as a flame barrier, fireproofing, insulation, heat resistance, waterproofing, and shockproofing, thereby maintaining the integrity of the circuit and ensuring the smooth transmission of power and communication.
Superior Insulation Material Supplier
Baojie Insulation, located in Yixing, Jiangsu, one of China's three major cable manufacturing bases, is a leading domestic manufacturer specializing in the research and development of insulating materials. Over the years, it has introduced advanced international science and technology as well as process equipment, focusing on the research, production, and manufacturing of silicone rubber for various types of wires and cables. It has established an overall marketing system and service network that is rooted in the Yangtze River Delta and extends across the country.
Baojie is committed to the research and development, as well as the upgrade and improvement of new materials. Focusing on market and customer needs, we continuously enhance material processes and innovate application technologies. We have now established three major product series of refractory silicone rubber, offering a variety of different specifications and models. We hold 5 product invention patents and 3 utility model patents, and can develop new product innovations and customized services based on our customers' actual requirements.
Three Key Features
High refractory temperature
Under flame conditions ranging from 350-3000°C, a ceramic-like shell can be formed, exhibiting excellent fire and heat resistance. Above 500°C in non-flame high temperatures and above 620°C under flame erosion, the material sintered into a hard ceramic-like object, with the ceramicization effect becoming more pronounced as the erosion time and temperature increase, reaching up to 3000°C. The refractory grade meets the GB/T12666 A-grade standard and can also pass the British BS6387 CWZ-level water spray, vibration, and fire resistance tests.
2. Cost-effective, high-quality
The production and processing technology of flame-retardant silicone rubber wire and cable is similar to that of ordinary silicone rubber wire and cable, even requiring no changes in processes or additional equipment. It eliminates the need for wrapping with mica tape or asbestos, and can be used as both a fire-retardant layer and an insulating layer, as well as an inner sheath. This simplifies the processing technology of flame-retardant wire and cable, significantly reducing costs.
3. Environmentally friendly materials
When refractory silicone rubber encounters flame ablation, it burns for 2-4 minutes before beginning to sinter into a hard ceramic-like armor shell, effectively blocking the continuation of the flame's combustion; smoke is completely extinguished within about 2-4 minutes, and no smoke is produced during the subsequent ablation process. The smoke produced prior to this is halogen-free, non-toxic, and harmless.
