Superior Insulation Materials - Silicone Rubber
The development and advancement of insulating materials directly制约 and influence the progress of electrical products. Prior to the 20th century, insulating materials were primarily derived from natural materials or their derivatives, lacking sufficient fire, water, and temperature resistance. It wasn't until the 1950s that insulating materials truly entered the era of new developments based on synthetic polymers. New insulating materials, represented by silicone rubber, have increasingly gained favor in the electrical products industry, particularly in wire and cable, lithium batteries, and new energy sectors.
This is mainly due to the excellent properties of silicone rubber, such as its non-toxicity, odorlessness, sealing, elasticity, resistance to high and low temperatures, ozone aging, and weathering aging, as well as its excellent electrical insulation and processing performance. Under the burning and erosion of high-temperature flames, refractory silicone rubber can form a hard ceramicized armor layer, which can isolate flames, prevent fire, insulate, protect against heat, water resistance, and shockproof, thereby maintaining the integrity of the lines and ensuring the smooth communication of power and telecommunications.
Superior Insulation Material Supplier
Baoheng Insulation, located in Yixing, Jiangsu, one of China's three major cable manufacturing bases, is a leading domestic developer and manufacturer of insulation materials. Over the years, it has introduced advanced international science and technology as well as process equipment, focusing on the research, production, and manufacturing of silicone rubber for various wires and cables. It has established an overall marketing system and service network that is rooted in the Yangtze River Delta and extends across the country.
Bojie is committed to the research and development of new materials, continuously improving material processes and technological innovations based on market and customer needs. We have now established three product series of refractory silicone rubber, offering a variety of different specifications and models. We have obtained 5 invention patents and 3 utility model patents, and can also innovate new products and provide customized services according to actual customer requirements.
Three Key Advantages
High refractory temperature
Under flame conditions ranging from 350-3000°C, a ceramic shell can be formed with excellent fire and heat resistance properties. Above 500°C in non-flame high temperatures and above 620°C under flame erosion, the material sintered into a hard ceramic object, with the ceramicization effect becoming more pronounced as the erosion time and temperature increase, reaching up to 3000°C. The refractory grade meets the GB/T12666 A-grade standard and can also pass the British BS6387 CWZ-grade water spray, vibration, and fire resistance tests.
Low cost, high quality
The production and processing techniques for flame-retardant silicone rubber wire and cable are similar to those for ordinary silicone rubber wire and cable, and even require no changes to the process or additional equipment. There's no need for wrapping with mica tape or asbestos, and secondary extrusion molding. It can serve as both a fire-retardant layer and an insulating layer, as well as an inner sheath. This simplifies the processing of flame-retardant wire and cable, significantly reducing costs.
3. Environmentally friendly materials
When refractory silicone rubber encounters flame erosion, it chars for about 2-4 minutes before sintering into a hard ceramic armor shell, effectively blocking further flame combustion; smoke is completely extinguished in approximately 2-4 minutes, and no smoke is produced during the subsequent erosion process. The smoke emitted previously is halogen-free, non-toxic, and harmless.
