3. The filter material is folded on both sides into 180-degree pleats, creating a keel-shaped pleated layer. When the material is bent, it leaves two creases, forming a keel box pleat at the end of the separator, which helps prevent the filter material from being damaged.

4. In corrosive environments, vinyl coated separators can be used to capture particles as small as 0.3μm with high efficiency.
