Laser-cut ultra-thin flange

Flange, also known as a flange disc or raised boss. A flange is a component that connects shafts to each other, used for pipe-end connections; there are also flanges used at equipment inlets and outlets for connecting two pieces of equipment, such as a reducer flange. Flange connection or flange joint refers to the removable connection of a combination sealing structure composed of flange, gasket, and bolt. Pipe flanges are the flanges used in piping systems within equipment, referring to the inlet and outlet flanges of the equipment. Flanges have holes, and bolts secure the two flanges together. Gaskets are used to seal between flanges. Flanges come in threaded (screwed) connections,焊接 (welded) flanges, and clamping flanges. Flanges are always used in pairs; low-pressure pipes can use threaded flanges, while those above 4 kg of pressure use焊接 flanges. A gasket is placed between the two flange disks, and then bolts are tightened. Flange thickness and螺栓 vary with pressure levels. Pumps and valves, when connected to pipes, the parts of these equipment are also made into corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange joints. Any connection piece that uses bolts to connect two flat surfaces around and seal them is generally called a "flange," such as the connection of ventilation pipes, these components can be called "flange-like parts." However, this type of connection is only a part of a device, like the connection between a flange and a pump, so it's not appropriate to call the pump a "flange-like part." Smaller items like valves can be called "flange-like parts."
