In traditional Buddhist temples, the Great Hero Hall is not unfamiliar to people. It is a must-visit for incense offerings and worship. Even those who rarely visit temples have likely heard of the Great Hero Hall. However, aside from monastics, few know the meaning behind the term "Great Hero." In Buddhist temples, the Great Hero Hall is the main hall, also known as the Great Hall. It is the central building of the entire temple and where monks gather for morning and evening meditations. The Great Hero Hall enshrines the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. "Great Hero" is a title of honor for the Buddha. "Great" signifies the inclusion of all things, while "hero" means subjugating the evil spirits. Because Sakyamuni Buddha possesses complete wisdom and can stabilize the vast universe, his disciples honor him as the Great Hero. The "treasure" in the Hall of Treasure refers to the Three Treasures of Buddhism: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
