Micro-vacation consumer experiences will become part of daily life.
Under the current circumstances, the entire cultural and tourism industry is under significant pressure, while micro-vacation products have found a development opportunity. In terms of the concept of micro-vacations itself, they focus more on suburban areas, high-quality experiences, diverse needs, and safety. The release of surrounding vacation demands in big cities provides a consumer possibility for micro-vacation products.
Inert amusement rides continue to be a market hit as a popular family micro-vacation product.
Green Paradise opened its doors in April this year. We compiled consumption data and found that regardless of the downturn in the cultural and tourism industry, products targeting families continue to yield positive market returns, and the opening figures for Green Paradise have exceeded our expectations.
The Original Vision of Unpowered Amusement Rides
Five years ago, during the development of our Green Paradise products, we noticed several phenomena: Firstly, urban children lack understanding of nature, and their current living environments are far from it. Secondly, overseas countries have long focused on children's natural growth training, enhancing their self-confidence and attention through natural education, including their enthusiasm for learning. Thirdly, under the pressure of China's nine-year compulsory education system, we found that children have little time to receive natural education, causing most domestic traditional natural education institutions to struggle to achieve good profitability and rarely find breakthrough points for development. Based on these three observations, we engaged in some contemplation on how to combine natural education with family vacations as the key to the project's success. Therefore, after thoroughly researching the surrounding market and consumer groups, we proposed our product concept: on one hand, our products are aimed at families with children living near large cities; on the other hand, we integrate nature education with future-inspiring elements into our micro-vacation products for children.
Market Potential of Unpowered Amusement Equipment
In our selection of non-powered amusement facilities and brand building, we emphasize the concept of non-powered theme parks. Many modern entertainment and leisure products offer children high-tech experiences, which, in turn, reduce their opportunities for contact with nature in their daily lives. Therefore, in the design philosophy of Green Paradise, we are committed to creating non-powered amusement parks to ignite children's innate curiosity and desire for exploration. In the creation of non-powered amusement park facilities, we emphasize the concept of high aesthetics, crafted in harmony with nature, creating a rustic hot spot that blends with the countryside. These are handcrafted from natural materials, tailored specifically for children, and are sized appropriately for them.
We have created several series of themed attractions in our non-powered amusement parks, including exploration themes, plant themes, and animal themes, integrating activities like ziplines, climbing, and jumping to ensure kids have a great time while exploring. Additionally, for the other non-powered facilities, we've chosen smaller activity spaces and vibrant color experiences, while emphasizing fun expressions. For instance, the greenway running space is not only painted in vivid colors but also introduces checkers and competitive games, offering kids new discoveries and surprises. Moreover, we have designed colorful flower seas, small farms, mini pastures, sunny lawns, and species tribes, featuring interactive spaces that focus on natural cognition and parent-child participation, which are very popular with kids. Our scenes change with the seasons, combining spring flowers and autumn fruits to provide various categories of science popularization education.
In our Green Paradise products, we have fully considered the needs of family vacations. We have noticed that around Disney, there are Disney-themed hotels that effectively link daytime consumption with the evening economy. For Green Paradise, we hope that children can fully enjoy the facilities during the day and also experience tranquility at night.
From the outset of the project, we created a "Fairy Tale Box" family-friendly space, which was depicted by the designer through sketches. Under the guidance of teachers, children engaged in games. We focused on both teachers and instructors, crafting a collaborative space for children of all ages, fostering a safe environment while also creating a sequence of spaces conducive to socializing. Similar to such green paradise family vacation hotels, which are composed of many small cubes, we have also broken through the traditional concept of hotels focusing solely on accommodation. We utilized spacious areas and multiple business formats, including Mimo House, indoor playgrounds, children's theaters, picture book libraries, nature classrooms, and cultural and creative stores, seamlessly integrating these large spaces with contemporary family accommodation areas.
Our public areas account for a significant proportion of our resort products, which is a key factor in our success in the market. In addition to the architectural design of the building's exterior, we emphasize the themes of natural dynamism and unity exploration. Inside, we continue the themes of nature education and family engagement, incorporating the character IP Mimo into the layout. Our nature family classroom has become a popular spot in recent years, where children experience nature courses daily; our picture book library is also open to the public for free, fostering children's reading habits from a young age. Our MIMO Theater is a key point for children's activities at night, where we showcase family-themed movies and organize话剧 performances irregularly. Our restaurant, in terms of scale and design, focuses on catering to children, with our menu and dish combinations featuring a playful twist.
In the亲子 hotel sector, the overall design features a dynamic rise and fall, with beautifully flowing lines. Inside, we've carefully considered the space needs of young explorers. To cater to family-oriented customers, we've crafted numerous space experiences. Many details showcase this, from the entrance to the hotel's indoor rooms, where we have two separate systems. These are tailored to accommodate both adults and children, including specially designed small toilets for the little ones.
In our indoor spaces, we've embraced the concept of a recreational playground, where the room itself becomes the amusement park, breaking away from the traditional resort hotel system that focuses solely on relaxation, or the traditional boutique accommodation style that emphasizes cool or artistic aesthetics. In the social activity areas, we've installed a telescope in the starry room and placed a small outdoor tent on the floor. Our independent bed design is evident, as we consider that many children at home share beds with adults. Therefore, throughout the design, we've particularly emphasized giving children a sense of independence. In the design and creation of the independent space, we've fully taken into account the experiential needs of children.
